Ireland and the EU: a most important crossroads

On Wednesday, September 13th, Aaron Reen of the Irish General Consulate in Frankfurt stopped by our school (among many others) and helped us gain a first access to Irish history and culture. Focussing especially on recent history, economics and politics, we got to know the Irish as a people proud of their EU membership and their close friendship with Germany. It was a very insightful experience as well as a much appreciated, rare opportunity to practice our English language skills with a native speaker! We are glad to have welcomed Mr. Reen and hope to develop an even closer friendship in the future.
